that hate on Gears 2 fall into two categories...
1. Never played the game,just listens to everyone else(loser)
2. Played it and realized that its better than their favorite game x10, its just that incredible...
Cliff wanted, for ACTIVE RELOADS to become standard fare in shooters, it is one of those RARE innovations that spring to life in shooters nowadays.
Nah, its all in preference, the Japanese style kind of throws me off a bit, but it looks awesome nonetheless. If its Gears inspired then of course its going to be awesome, especially to this degree...

I like the fact that Sony acknowledges that their 3rd party support isn't what it use to be, so they have to invest heavily into their 1st party titles. I think their setting a trend that MS and Nintendo will follow, its just that MS caters to the 3rd party support and Nintendo is catering to the casual crowd. The are all very business savvy in their own approach in dealing with the economic climate.
